Cobram Victory FC
Cobram Victory FC was founded back in 1998 and since then has become one of the power house teams of the North Eastern Soccer League. Originally known as Murray Border Cobram United Soccer Club, MBCU started as a junior club back in 1998 in the Albury Wodonga Soccer Association. By 2001 the club had there first senior team and managed to play finals in the first season. After many consistent seasons in the Albury League MBCU changed to the North Eastern Soccer League and with that changed there name to Cobram Victory FC. In season 2008 the club reached it highest moment playing off in the senior grand final followed up by the reserves grand final in 2009.
2011 proved to be a breakthrough year for Cobram Victory FC making headlines across the country, led by player coach Craig Carley, Victory made the Super 12's stage of the Victorian state-wide competition the Mirabella Cup defeating Melbourne powerhouses Whittlesea Zebra's and Clifton Hill on the way before eventually going down to former National League champions Melbourne Knights 2-1 at Knights Stadium. Cobram Victory FC was rewarded by the organizers invited to play in the Mirabella Regional Trophy against Victorian Premier League Division 2 side Ballarat Red Devils at Australia’s premier soccer stadium AAMI Park Melbourne. Cobram Victory FC were successful in claiming the Regional Trophy 2-1.
2011 has also seen success in the Goulburn North East Football Association with 6 out of 8 teams qualifying for finals, and with two of those teams reaching the Grand Final, with the Division 2 men’s side winning their Grand Final
